Olympic Math


This week in Maths, we have been focusing on the Olympic Games by turning the sports into math.


I really enjoyed the javelin because we got to throw a silver straw then measured how far it went. My best throw went 699cm.


Something that was a bit tricky was the high jump because at the start we didn't know what to measure.


I am really looking forward to doing the Olympic Maths again next week especially the weightlifting.

    It sounds like you have had fun this week! Was your best throw a long throw or did others go further than yours? How did you find out what to measure in the long jump?
